DW Show Numero Uno [Video]

TV – “Mr. Boogity”, Darrel Waltrip has taken his social media experience to the next level by creating his own YouTube channel and show, “The DW Show.”  Waltrip says he plans to have a new show each week as the racing community leads up to the start of the 2011 racing season with the Daytona 500.  It is unclear whether or not Waltrip will continue this experiement beyond Daytona, but given his current social media status, the odds are high that we will get plenty of DW on YouTube thoughout the season.

Waltrip is very active on the other social media giants, Twitter and Facebook.  His fan page on Facebook has over 4,000 Likes and he has over 24,000 followers on Twitter.

“Boogity, Boogity, Boogity!”

DW’s social persona is not very far off of the DW we have become accustomed to over the nine years.  For nine seasons Waltrip has been a color commentator for Nascar on Fox alongside Larry McReynolds and Mike Joy.  His iconic “Boogity, Boogity, Boogity” has started every Nascar Sprint Cup Series race that he has commentated and as a result, whether you like it or not, has become a mainstay of the sport.

Waltrip carries this ethos into his tweets and status updates.  He is not affraid to tell you extactly how he feels, which, by and large is generally positive about this sport.

Now, we the racing community can get a little more DW each week, starting with episode one of The DW Show.  Enjoy!
